Yo ho and a surgery!
Today is Vesak day, generally a very impt day for our fellow buddhist counterparts. However having visited the temple recently (or maybe to lazy) i decided to forgo the visit with my parents. Had a arm breaking swim with bryan n weng... and went for lunch at the MAC outlet at the AMK park.
While queuing up, happened to meet one of my primary school friends. Quite surprised to see that he is already a father of 3 and all his kids... are already quite old, say? 6... Actually i was most shocked by the news and couldn't stop thinking of what happened during the years that we lost contact.
Visited Chun yang at SGH along with the rest of my sec sch buddies. Her jaw operations was successful and now... we have a skinny chun yang with a puffed up face. The op took 6 hours and involved pulling out the upper jaw, and pushing in the lower jaw, all the incisions were done internally so no scars were on the face, totally no scars. As with all operations there's a price to pay, for her, its 3 weeks cannot open her mouth, 6 months of braces and a lifetime of retainer. But her decision was made 3 years ago. The pain for the price of beauty, go figure...
Well as someone said, a class gathering at an hospital isn't really good. Now i agreed. Seeing your friend in pain from the injections, her boyfriend (my best friend) feeding her water every 15 mins with a syringe, and the drip she's on. Its just all very saddening. But still i had quite a good time catching up with my best friend and his family, its been a really long time since i had a good talk with him. Really missed the old times, and now i realise that i have really been out of my secondary school loop right after i left. Maybe i'll just drop by for a game of mahjong with them like my best friend said~
